Kapil Dev

The greastest fast bowler, fast bowling allrounder India has produced was Kapil dev. He was
one of greastest fast bowler world cricket has produced at his time. He was voted India's
Cricketer Of Century during 2002. He played with the greatest allrounder Ian Botham, Imran
Khan, Richard Hadlee. It was not possbile to compare them who was best.
Kapil Dev had a great leadership skills and he proved it to win world cup in 1983. No body
was imagine that India would have won the world cup. But kapil Dev did it by his leadership
skills. During that world cup he played a memorable knock 175 unbeaten against Zimbabwe and
rescued India from 17 for five.
He was named as the Wisden "Cricketer of the Year" in 1983. He was the first genuine fast
bowler on Indian soil. He was become a household name in Indian Cricket at his young age. He
broke the Richard Hadlee's highest wicket record in test cricket and reached to 434 wickets.
He served this record for many years until West Indian fast bowler Courtney Walsh surpassed
his record.
Kapil made his Test and Limited Overs International debuts in Pakistan during India's tours
of 1978-79. Both After it he never looked back and became India's strick bowler until he
retire from cricket.
