Sachin Tendulkar


What can anyone say about Sachin Tendulkar, a greatest batsman which cricket history produced so far?
As much as say about SachinTendulkar, it’s not enough to describe his status in world cricket. He is holding most of batting world record of one day and test cricket.
He is highest run scorer in both Test cricket and one day cricket. He holds the most number of century’s world records in both one day internationals and Test cricket and total number of centuries in International cricket including one day international and Test cricket.
In 1989, Against Pakistan he made his international debut in Pakistan at the age of sixteen.
He was India’s younger Test player. He is regarded one of the best opening player in one day international in Indian cricket. His opening pair with Saurav Ganguly was so successful. They became the best opening pair of one day international in international cricket. They hold the highest opening partnership in one day international cricket.
Sachin Tendulkar received India's highest sporting honour, the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna in the year 1997-1998 and the civilian award Padma Shri in 1999.
His cricketing and batting abilities are widely regarded as genius by many stalwarts of the game. Sir Donald Bradman, the Australian great said of Sachin, "He reminds me of myself". He is affectionately known as “The Little Master”, “Master Blaster”, and “Little Champion” by his adoring fans.
He was also captioned the Indian cricket Team but was not so successful. He is now the caption of the Mumbai Indians in IPL.

Sunil Gavaskar

Record is enough to say about sunil gavaskar “The little master”- 10,122 test runs, an average of 51.12 over 125 matches, and 34 test centuries.
He is one of the best batsmen which Indian cricket produced. He was born in the Indian city of Bombay, now Mumbai on the 10th of July, 1949.
He is regarded as one of the greatest opening batsman in Indian Test cricket history and has several records under his belt.
He made his test debut against the West Indian team in 1970/71. This test series led to the beginning of a wonderful cricketing journey for him and Indian cricket. In that particular series Sunil Gavaskar batted like a champion and scored 774 runs at an average of 154.80 runs per innings. These helped Indian teams to register their first test series win on West Indian soil.
Sunil Gavaskar scored runs in almost all parts of the world. His exploits in countries like Australia, England, New Zealand and West Indies earned him the reputation of one of the finest batsmen in the history of cricket.
He is not only successful in test cricket but in one day cricket also. He played 108 matches scoring 3092 runs at an average of 35.13 runs per match.
In the first world cup, at Lord’s in 1975, he batted through the innings for 36 not out in 1764 balls. He was criticized for it. But later he was scored lot of runs in one day cricket.
He became the first batsman in Test cricket to reach 10,000 runs landmark. He broke the record of the Sir Donald Bradman's prestigious total of 29 Test centuries in 1983.
